DONATION OF ESSENTIALS AND FOOD TO FAMILIES IN TOUMODI AFFECTED BY RECENT VIOLENCE

On November 10, 2020, the Foundation donated food (rice, sugar, canned tomatoes, edible oil, edible paste, canned sardines, condensed milk) and non-food items (bleach, soap) to about 30 families affected by the recent violence in Toumodi.

Children's Day at the non-state school ‘Le Petit Baobab’

On November 20, 2019, Children’s Day was celebrated and the Foundation donated 2 boxes of chalk and nearly 100 books (literary works and textbooks) to the non-state school library of ‘Le Petit Baobab.

School Kits For All, 2019 Edition

In this edition of School Kits For All” the Foundation distributed 3,417 school kits and 318 instructional manuals to children who were identified as vulnerable. These kits and manuals were distributed in 31 schools approved by the Ministry of National Education in the regions of Iffou, Bélier, Hambol, and in the Autonomous District of Abidjan.

Support for 2 disadvantaged children in the practice of Capoeira, through the Association Ivoirienne de Capoeira Owlavé (AICO)

The Ivorian Association of Capoeira Owlavé (AICO) offers training in Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, to underprivileged children in precarious neighborhoods of Abidjan. Since November 2019, the Foundation has supported this association by sponsoring 2 disadvantaged children for a period of time.

Donations of food to the non-state school ‘Le Petit Baobab’

On November 6, 2019, the Foundation donated 200 liters of cooking oil and 427.5 kg of rice to the school canteen, as well as more than 100 books (literary works and textbooks) to the library of ‘Le Petit Baobab’.

Christmas For All, 2019 edition

Thanks to the 2019 edition of Christmas For All” the Foundation distributed 1,066 gifts in hospitals and socio-cultural centers in Aboisso (Sud-Comoé), Didiévi (Bélier), and Toumodi (Bélier). Gifts were also distributed in 2 schools in the District of Abidjan, to sick and disabled children, and those from impoverished families.

Donations of food and clothing to the center for the blind and to the orphanage of toumodi

On January 16, 2020, the Foundation donated food, clothing, and toys to the Orphanage ‘Les Maisons Bethesda de Toumodi’ and to the Center for Education, Training and Integration of the Blind in Toumodi (CEFIAT: Centre dEducation de Formation et dInsertion des Aveugles de Toumodi). This included: 225 kg of rice, 24 boxes of tomato paste, 20 liters of edible oil, 24 kg of edible paste,172 disposable baby diapers, as well as clothes and shoes for children and adults, and various toys.

Donation of equipment and hygiene products for the fight against COVID-19

On April 10, 2020, as part of the fight against the Coronavirus, COVID-19, the Foundation donated equipment and hygiene products to the Health District of Cocody-Bingerville.

The Foundation rolled out its COVID-19 emergency plan

From April 9 to May 14, 2020, the Foundation deployed its COVID-19 emergency plan. This plan included:

  • -The distribution of sanitary kits and products to needy populations, including masks, bar soap, hydroalcoholic gels, bleach, hand washing devices, paper towels, information booklets on hand washing and barrier gestures recommended by the World Health Organization, and delivery of food.
  • -The distribution of supplies and personal protective equipment to caregivers and health professionals on the front line of the fight against the pandemic. These include: hydroalcoholic gels, masks, gloves, bleach, hand washing devices, liquid soap, and rubbing alcohol.

More than 3,250 disadvantaged people benefited from health kits in the 10 communes of Abidjan: Plateau, Abobo, Adjamé, Attécoubé, Cocody, Koumassi, Marcory, Port-Bouët, Treichville, and Yopougon. As well, more than 500 health workers received hygiene products and personal protective equipment.

Prize giving to the top students at the non-state school ‘Le Petit Baobab’

The Foundation contributed to an award ceremony organized by the private school ‘Le Petit Baobab’ by offering children's books and educational games to the top 3 students in each primary class. The ceremony was held in Angré Château on the outskirts of Abidjan.
