The Djamadji Academic Group (15,000 resident), located in the township of Sinfra, in the Marahoué district, includes 20 classes from 1st to 5th grade with 1,324 students including 581 girls and 743 boys.
The obsolescence and oversized school, the lack of latrines, drinking water, electricity and seats, are factors that impact the quality of education provided in this school which has an average of 66 pupils per class. In addition to these difficult teaching conditions, the condition of the buildings (roofs, floors, walls,) poses a constant risk to the health of students and teachers.
Following a search for funding from international structures, La Fondation d’Augustin officially launched on April 05th, 2019 the construction of a new building with 3 classes and 4 latrines at the Djamadji School. Upstream project, our organizer was mandated on site to undertake the work to prepare the whole community in order to adopt the project. Ultimately, the Djamadji project will contribute to relieving the students and improving their quality of life and education.
